The sixth major annual survey by the Val Group on the attitudes, beliefs, fears, and expectations of Croatian citizens.
Understanding the social and political environment is becoming increasingly important for responsible planning, which is why the Val Group has been conducting the Zero Quadrant study for six years. This year’s results show that citizens remain most troubled by inflation, declining purchasing power, and security issues, while support for the reintroduction of mandatory military service is growing. In such an unstable environment, the research reveals that rising prices and security remain the key topics shaping public attitudes.
At the same time, a deepening crisis of trust is further widening social divisions, as citizens view institutions and the business sector with increasing skepticism. Yet despite these uncertainties, this year’s findings highlight that citizens see knowledge as the only stable currency and the best investment for the future. These insights make Zero Quadrant an important tool for understanding public sentiment and making better decisions in the year ahead.
